It is unconscionable that we allow billions upon billions of additional debt to be heaped on our children and grandchildren annually. If we are serious about addressing the debt, then all spending must be on the table. We must not accept baseline budget "cuts" that continue to increase the debt and, instead, must actually cut spending and reduce the debt.
